We are pleased to announce the appointment of Cody Schumacher to the position of District Marketing Manager effective May 1, 2025. Cody will assume the responsibilities in the Hurst, TX district.

Cody began his Federated career in June 2017 as a Marketing Representative in Leavenworth, KS. In December 2020, he became an Account Executive in the Association Risk Management Services Department and relocated to Hurst, TX. His accomplishments include three Monthly Leadership Awards, three Big Hitter Awards, and seven Chairman’s Council trips. 

Cody’s comprehension of our Business Plan, combined with his strong leadership and communication skills gained in his Marketing Representative and Account Executive roles point towards future success as a District Marketing Manager.

Cody, his wife Taryn, and their family will remain in the Dallas, TX area. Our congratulations to Cody on this exciting new opportunity!

Leif has completed the Associate Systems Developer onboarding program and joined the Analytics Team. Leif was an Intern with the IS CPCC Team in 2024 where he developed test automation and other technical solutions for our business partners. Leif's immediate contributions out of training are on the Rating Factor Application and our development towards our Predictive Analytics initiatives in Pricing and Claims.

Since joining the Enterprise Data Team, Tayla has served as a Tableau admin and a data analyst responsible for working with many business areas on delivering reporting solutions. Lately Tayla has been leading new reporting initiatives like Automated Experience Reporting and NY Auto Liability Reporting as well as mentoring new developers on the Data Engineering team. Tayla's demonstrated passion for testing and documentation combined with her ability to dig deep into details will serve her well as she expands her role to assist the ClaimCenter team with DataMart testing.

Nick Medo has been promoted to the position of Property & Casualty Product Analyst.

Since joining Federated in June 2021, Nick has been in our Underwriting department working his way up from an Underwriter trainee to Commercial Underwriter III.  

Nick's primary responsibilities in his new role will be analyzing, overseeing, and providing recommendations and direction related to Commercial Auto product development and underwriting of exposures to support corporate profitable growth objectives. Nick's experience with underwriting LA, participating on our Launch team, UF-18 project, Underwriting Efficiency team as a Change Champion, Learning Center trainer for Underwriters, and mentoring of two new Underwriters positions him well for this new opportunity.
